Idaho Scholarships

Helping Others Help Themselves

The State of Idaho is committed to supporting students in their pursuit of education and training beyond high school. A variety of scholarship opportunities are available for eligible Idaho residents, administered by the Idaho State Board of Education and the Idaho Workforce Development Council. These programs are funded through a combination of public and private sources to help ensure all students have a pathway to success.

Awards and Requirements

Idaho offers a range of scholarship programs for residents who have graduated—or will soon graduate—from an Idaho high school (or equivalent) and plan to attend a college, university or eligible training provider in the state.

Scholarships are available in several categories:

  • Merit-Based Scholarships – Based on academic achievement and other accomplishments
  • Need-Based Scholarships – Based on financial need
  • Dependent Scholarships – Available to students with parents who meet specific service qualifications
