Broadband Infrastructure Improvement Grant (B.I.I.G.)
Idaho invests in dedicated fiber infrastructure for its schools and libraries through “B.I.I.G.,” the Broadband Infrastructure Investment Grant (Idaho 33-910). The grant unlocks additional E-Rate dollars to fund special construction projects for new fiber. The remaining portion may also receive state reimbursements (may require EORC approval).

The B.I.I.G. application process requires additional time beyond the typical E-Rate procurement process. To ensure a smooth and successful application, it is important for all applicants to adhere to the required timeline:

| B.I.I.G. Form 470 Window | July 1 – November 30 |
| Application Submission Window | October 1 – January 31 |
Form 470s posted on or after December 1 are not eligible to receive B.I.I.G. funding without prior permission from OSBE. Forms 470s posted on or after December 1 are still eligible to receive E-Rate special construction funding without B.I.I.G.
