Idaho education has entered a new progressive era in order to increase global competitiveness and attract opportunity, as seen through our many current education initiatives. Education and commerce must partner to build upon each other.


Higher Education Research Council Programs

These programs are designed to stimulate competitive research at Idaho’s institutions, under the direction of the Higher Education Research Council.


Higher Education Research Council

The Higher Education Research Council (HERC) is responsible for implementing and administering the Board’s higher education research policy and the grant programs created by it. These programs are designed to stimulate competitive research at Idaho’s institutions.


Employment

The Office of the State Board of Education conducts pre-employment screening on all positions, including eligibility for employment, verification of work history and academic credentials, and criminal background check.
