The Office of the State Board of Education supports school districts and charter schools in their efforts to engage in strategic planning and board and staff training for the purpose of improving district operations and classroom instruction. This includes providing oversight of district plans (Continuous Improvement Plans, Literacy Intervention Plans, and College and Career Advising and Mentoring Plans) and approving Qualified Trainers.

The Accountability Oversight Committee is an ad hoc committee of the State Board of Education. The committee is responsible for providing recommendations to the State Board of Education regarding Idaho's accountability and assessment system, including any changes or improvements that are needed.

Educator Effectiveness

Educator Effectiveness
The purpose of the Educator Effectiveness program is to support and facilitate the State Board of Education’s governance of Idaho’s public K-20 school system. The primary focus of the program is to work with issues related to the quality and effectiveness of the educators in the state’s public K-12 school system, including preparation of teachers at the postsecondary level.
