William G. Gilbert, Jr. was appointed by Governor Brad Little to the State Board of Education in July 2021. Gilbert served as co-chair of Governor Little’s “Our Kids, Idaho’s Future” Task Force in 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the University of Idaho and is a graduate of Borah High School.
Gilbert also serves on the board of Idaho Business for Education, as immediate past chairman of St. Luke’s Heath Foundation, and on St. Luke’s Heath System Finance and Investment Committee.
Gilbert is a former chairman and emeritus director of the University of Idaho Foundation.
A native Idahoan, Gilbert is a co-founder of Caprock, a multi-family office investment advisor, overseeing more than $7 billion in client assets.
